Our mission is to develop and market products that optimize and facilitate incorporating recreation and fitness into daily lives and lifestyles, improving personal health and agency while increasing awareness of the intersection of human activity and the natural world.
THE LINKgear
STORY
LINKgear, LLC was formed in 2017 to bring its premier product, CycleSole, to market. CycleSole was designed as a solution to what all cyclists know as "clip walk" - that awkward walk dreaded while wearing cycling shoes with cleats.
The inspiration for CycleSole arrived when LINKgear founder and owner, Lorri Cornett, was putting on a pair of stretchy ice cleats to navigate the icy sidewalks of Chicago just a few days after an early Spring ride that required walking in cycling shoes. On the heels of that recent ride and after experiencing all the downsides of walking in cleats, Lorri went into ‘solution mode.’
She imagined a stretchy, durable shoe cover that would do away with the damage to cleats and shoes, as well as floors and walkways. Most importantly, though, no more ‘clip walk!’
CycleSole was awarded a patent in 2023 and will soon be available as a solution to cyclists everywhere. Learn more about CycleSole.
